Prerequisite: Basic braiding skills

What you will learn:

• Understanding braid cap wigs
• Identifying lace types
• Cap selection and preparation
• Knot bleaching & tinting
• Placement of Closure/Frontal
• Measuring and fitting the cap properly
• Sewing techniques (needle & thread control)
• Creating neat and flat braid patterns on cap
• Styling (center part, side part, simple styles)
• Neatness and durability techniques
• Hot water techniques & styling
• Cornrow base for wig foundation
• Finishing and maintenance

Training schedule:

• Classes run Tuesday – Friday
• Total of 60 training hours
• Course must be completed within 1 month
• Students must complete 1 ready to wear frontal and closure wig

Awarded after completing:

• All training hours required for this course
• Required live models
• All assignments

Graduation:

Held once a year
Eligible students join the annual graduation ceremony
